Description
The Dragon Rider’s Handbook.
Created in collaboration with Emily Wells (@Emiscape), this design draws a heroine and her dragon —made to feel like a real, timeworn book pulled from another world.
The front cover centers on a quiet, powerful moment between rider and dragon, framed by ornate borders, delicate foliage, and celestial detail. Rendered in Emily’s signature fine linework, it feels like a page from an ancient text—something discovered rather than designed.
The spine features two intricately illustrated swords, reinforcing the illusion of a storied, well-worn book.
On the back, the world expands: a distant castle, winding bridge, and dragons circling overhead, all etched in the same detailed, old-world style. Together, the full wraparound design creates the feeling of a complete narrative—like you’re holding a handbook that’s been passed down for generations.
We gave Emily our vision for this cover - from composition to how we wanted it to feel - and she ran with it—transforming the concept into something far more intricate and beautiful than we could have imagined. We’re so excited to collaborate with her on this series.
